Overview
This four-pass tube-in-plate cold plate is a documented Boyd reference for direct contact with a heat source. It is a specific construction, not a claimed site-manufactured thermal design.
Construction and interfaces
The standard plate uses extruded aluminum around a continuous press-fit copper tube, with thermally conductive filled epoxy at the joint. The documented copper tube is 9.5 mm OD with 1.24 mm wall.
Selection
Boyd lists unfinished 152 mm and 305 mm standard plate lengths under separate order codes, both with 127 mm listed width. Select the actual mounting pattern and required flow/thermal duty before quote.
Configuration options
The datasheet lists custom sizes and stainless or cupronickel tube alternatives. These require a defined drawing and are not properties of the pictured copper-tube standard configuration.
Application limits
The datasheet's metric and inch thickness numbers disagree, so this page omits thickness until a controlled drawing resolves it. No universal heat-load, pressure-drop or coolant compatibility is claimed.
