Overview

The VNB is an actuated two-port valve option where a buyer needs remotely operated fluid shutoff or routing in a secondary liquid loop. It is not the direct-acting JSX solenoid valve already listed in this catalog.

The official series photograph shows two VNB valves with different body sizes and pilot assemblies. The maker lists air-operated and external-pilot solenoid forms, with NBR, FKM or EPR seal choices.

Selection

Select the exact body, pilot actuation, normally-open/closed behavior and seal for the coolant. SMC lists water among possible fluids only when materials and configuration are chosen appropriately.

The catalog span of 7–50 mm orifice and Rc (PT) 1/8 to 2 ports represents different order configurations, not one valve's range of motion or a stock promise.

Application limits

SMC's instruction table separates low-vacuum-to-0.5 and low-vacuum-to-1 MPa pressure configurations; fluid temperature is -5 to 60 °C for listed standard/solenoid configurations and may reach -5 to 99 °C only for specified air-operated water/oil configurations, without freezing.
